Two years ago, Eduard Llorens won the prize for the best upper secondary school research project that is awarded every year by the UPC with his design of a refugee camp. He is now in the second year of the degree in Architecture Studies. Mónica Pérez is taking the bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology Engineering and she claims that an open day led her to discover Formula Student, an international competition for single-seat racing cars designed and built by university students from around the world; she is now on one of the teams of UPC students that take part in the competition.
Zhang Fengbo has chosen the UPC to study for a master’s degree and he now has the opportunity to get to know the research that is conducted in the University’s laboratories and research centres. Ivan Payán, an informatics engineer, has taken a different route: he founded an association of developers of mobile applications and is now promoting an entrepreneurial project. Bernat Vila and Adrià Sallés, students on the bachelor's degree in Industrial Design and Product Development Engineering, have designed and created, for their final thesis, a low-cost wheelchair that can easily be assembled and that is conceived for use in developing countries.
Eduard, Mónica, Zhang, Iván, Bernat and Adrià are just six of the 32,765 students of the UPC who have shared their projects, dreams and experiences in this video. We invite you to get to know them and to discover, through them, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. The UPC, the university for Engineering, Architecture, Sciences and Technology.
